File .JSupApp (Bozza)

.JSupApp files are [zip] archives that contain an archived [JSup] application.
They are created using the [Archive or publish JSup application] operation and can be used for backup purpose or to install a JSup application in the customer PC as a single and precompiled file (faster to start and to execute).

Edit of an archived application

.JSupApp files cannot be directly edited; to use [JSup edit mode] you need to extract the archived files in a directory.
To do so you have to:

  • start JSup and wait for the application menu is shown;
  • if the .JSupApp file is not already in the application list then do the following two steps to add it:
    • press the Add existing button;
    • enter the .JSupApp file to add or select it using the Browse archives button and then confirm;
  • select, in the application list, the application corresponding to the .JSupApp file to extract and edit;
  • click on the Edit application button and confirm that you want to extract the archived application;
  • specify or create an empty directory that will contain the extracted application.
  • the application is opened and can be edited.

If the .JSupApp file is encrypted then the archive password will be asked (there is no way to extract an encrypted archive without a password).
Please note that modification to an extracted application will be saved in the directory. The .JSupApp file will be not changed.
